FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the module compatible with my theme?

Yes. The module is compatible with the Classic theme and all child themes based on Classic. It works with most PrestaShop themes because it hooks into the standard displayTop hook.

Does the menu replace the native PrestaShop menu?

The module is placed on the displayTop hook in place of the native ps_mainmenu menu. You can disable the native menu from the back office to avoid duplicates.

How many subcategory levels are supported?

Depth is configurable in the back office. By default, 3 levels are displayed. You can go further if your catalog requires it.

Do the images slow down the menu?

No. Images are lazy-loaded and use the thumbnails already generated by PrestaShop. No image is generated on the fly.

Can I integrate my CMS pages (blog, legal notice)?

Yes. The module automatically detects the CMS categories and CMS pages of your store and integrates them into the menu with their tree structure.

What happens with more than 10 level-1 categories?

The module natively handles multi-line wrap: if the bar exceeds the width of the container, categories wrap to the next line. This behavior can be enabled/disabled in the back office.
